day at the gymday at the gym

I woke up today with that gym-bug-feeling, that was after my first coffee of course! Another beautiful morning with the low morning sunshine in my eyes, the day felt like a fresh start.

I started with some light cardio on the treadmill, getting my heart rate up with sweat dripping down my face. When it comes to the gym, I try not to worry about what I look like to others, if I did, I would never push myself as hard as I do. Then it was time for strength training: bench presses, squats, deadlifts, and then some light cardio to finish.

After an intense workout like that, in my opinion, there’s nothing better for the body and mind than some stretching and yoga. It was the perfect way to unwind and lengthen my muscles after all that hard work. Then it was time for a nice long shower. Why is it so much nicer to shower at the gym than at home? This is my last gym day until after Christmas, so I think I deserve a nice long shower.

For me, the gym is more than just a place to exercise, it’s a sanctuary where I can clear my mind and focus on self-improvement. It’s about my pushing limits both physically and mentally. And every time I leave the gym after a good workout, I feel I can conquer anything the day brings my way.
